Hi! My name is Carlisle Pudding and I?m a super handsome, sweet, incredibly friendly, enthusiastic and energetic, 8 year old, male Black Lab mix! I am just about the happiest dog you will ever meet!!
I was found stray in KY and no one came to claim me at the shelter, which meant that I was facing euthanasia. The rescue folks think that I must have had owners that I really loved, because I love people so much, and I am very trusting and sweet. I?m well trained, too ? perfectly housebroken and I am good at ?sit? though maybe not when I am super excited to see you when you first come home! I also know ?drop it? and I seem to know that I shouldn?t jump up on people, though sometimes I am so overjoyed to see you that I can?t resist giving you a bit of a ?hug!?
I pretty much love everything! I love to eat, I love to play fetch, I love to play with my foster sister dog, and I love to go for walks! Going for walks is probably my favorite thing. I have such a fantastic time finding sticks and bringing them to you so we can play fetch while we walk! I just love to run around and explore on a long leash (wait?maybe running around is my favorite thing!), but I?m also incredibly well-mannered on leash despite my excitement about being out on a walk! I never pull when I get to the end of the leash, and I am really just quite polite all around!
I?m terrific with other dogs and am living so sweetly with a bunch of cats. I am such a gentleman! I weigh about 70 pounds now, but am a little bit skinny?the vet says I should gain at least 5. J It?s fun having to gain weight?you get lots of treats! You sure wouldn?t know that I was a ?senior? dog, considering how much I love to play and run. But even though I kind of act like a puppy, I don?t do anything of the annoying things that pups do. I never chew things in the house and once play time is over I am happy to curl up on the couch or in a dog bed and just chill and cuddle.
Oh, I love to cuddle! Wait! That?s probably my real favorite thing! I really love being with people, people are just the best. I might get a little sad if you leave me alone ? I whine a bit at first when you go but I?m ok after a minute. I?d love a home where I got to be around people a lot!
Well it?s hard to believe that I have only been in Ithaca for a week. But I just settled in really quick and am just plain happy to be here. Please consider adopting me, I am a true perfect gentleman!
